This new film directed by Michael Bay is adapted from the novel of the same name by Mitchell Zuckoff. It is a political film. On September 11, 2012, an anti-American demonstration took place in front of the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. After nightfall, dozens of militants rushed into the consulate. The demonstration turned into a violent conflict, which eventually led to the death of four people, including U.S. Ambassador John Christopher Stevens.
