Plot:
The protagonist Honda Goro's father, Honda Shigeharu, was originally a professional baseball player. He lost his mother at a young age. However, when he was six years old, his father was hit in the head by a pitch from Joe Gibson during a game and died of a cerebral hematoma. Later, Goro's kindergarten teacher, Hoshino Momoko (Shigeharu's girlfriend), adopted Goro. When he was nine years old, Shigeno Eiki (his father's classmate, also a professional baseball player) married Hoshino Momoko, and Honda Goro's surname was changed to Shigeno. After going through the Little League and high school baseball era, he entered the American Major League to challenge his growth process. An inspirational story of family and friendship!
