Mickey (Dylan O'Brien) was originally a very ordinary American youth, growing up in a happy family and having a sweet girlfriend. However, an accident took the lives of Mickey's parents, leaving him an orphan. Mickey's girlfriend was also killed in a terrorist attack. Almost in an instant, Mickey lost all the important people in his life. CIA Deputy Director Irene (Sanaa Lathan) sympathized with Mickey's tragic experience and decided to give him a chance for revenge, so she recruited him into an action team. The team leader responsible for training Mickey was Stan (Michael Keaton), a combat operator during the Cold War. Soon, Stan discovered Mickey's amazing talent that was different from ordinary people, and what they had to face together was a shocking conspiracy that might lead to World War III.
