A middle-aged film director and his daughter, whom he has not seen for many years, visit a building owned by an interior designer. They come because his daughter also wants to study interior design. The designer owns the four-story walk-up building and she takes them floor by floor to see the renovations she has done. The three of them go into the rooms on each floor and look around. After the film begins in this way, we start again at the bottom and work our way up floor by floor.
