Jean-Claude Van Damme will star in the new action thriller "The Bouncer", directed by Julien Leclercq ("The Bouncer" and "The Raid"), with a production cost of 10 million, similar to "Taken". Van Damme will play Lukas, a nightclub bouncer in his 50s who has a hard time raising his 8-year-old daughter. One day he lost control in an argument with a client and was put in jail, leaving his daughter in the care of social service workers. The situation suddenly changed, and Interpol recruited him to take down a Dutch crime lord in exchange for custody of his daughter. Jérémie Guez ("Yves Saint Laurent") wrote the script and filming will start in January next year.
