Adapted from Nico Walker's novel of the same name, the story involves post-traumatic stress disorder. It tells the story of a man from a wealthy family who had a good life. Later, he left his hometown and went to Iraq to become a military doctor. When he returned to his hometown, he suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder. Since then, he has taken drugs and been heavily in debt. He has robbed 11 banks.
