Plot:
The film uses a repetitive and fragmented sensory narrative technique to tell the story of Anthony (Anthony Hopkins), an elderly and ill man, who is facing a difficult life choice - whether to move to a nursing home or accept the new caregiver his daughter is looking for. In the process, Anthony finds himself as if he has entered a strange journey through time and space. The disordered memories and timelines interweave a series of incredible stories, and a series of strange and familiar people also make him confused. The film is adapted from the stage play "The Father" by French novelist and playwright Florian Zeller.
