Plot:
In the Battle of Stalingrad, Vasily (Jude Law) was a sharpshooter who terrorized the troops. His excellent marksmanship was so good that the enemy was terrified. In order to inspire morale and set an example, Vasily's comrade-in-arms, Danilov (Joseph Fiennes), an officer of the Soviet Propaganda Department, published a large number of Vasily's heroic deeds in newspapers, making Vasily's image even taller. However, the appearance of Tanya (Rachel Weisz) made Vasily and Danilov both fall in love with this cool female soldier. But Tanya liked Vasily, which made Danilov very jealous. On the other hand, the German army sent their sniper Connie (Ed Harris) to let him, who was also a sharpshooter, compete with Vasily. On the battlefield filled with smoke, Vasily and Connie began a duel of wits and courage.
