In the spring of 1922, writer Nick (Tobey Maguire) left his hometown with hope and came to the emerging city of New York with the gold rush. Although jazz music was popular and stocks soared, the rich and the poor were polarized, and people were immersed in the world of luxury. In pursuit of the American dream, Nick gave up writing and entered the stock market. He moved to the bay near New York and became a neighbor of the mysterious rich Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio).
