Paul (Josh Lucas) takes his family on a trip to Mexico and visits the oil platform owned by his company. When they arrive at the platform, they find it in chaos. The surviving staff tell Paul that the platform was attacked by the "Black Devil Shark", a monster in Mexican folklore. It is a giant shark called "Gianttooth Shark" that has long been extinct.
