A large-scale invasion took place, almost destroying the entire Earth. The surviving family lived a quiet and silent life. If they made any sound, they would be captured by monsters. The family in "A Quiet Place" must keep quiet at all times. The family must figure out which sounds can be made and which cannot. The father paved a sand road to silence the sound, the whole family must use sign language, and there is a lighting system for communication... etc., in order to avoid terrible things from happening, because the monsters hunting them are everywhere. This is a real challenge. They must overcome life and death difficulties and do everything they can to survive. Keeping quiet is the only rule of survival. If they can't hear you, they can't hunt you.
