Suzuki Hero (Oizumi Yo), a 35-year-old man living in Tokyo, is an assistant to a famous cartoonist. He published a single book in his early years, but has been unknown since then. Not only is his life difficult, but his relationship with his girlfriend Kurokawa Tetsuko (Katase Nana) is also becoming increasingly tense. Perhaps because he was too anxious about his own situation, the hero did not notice the strange things happening around him. It was not until his girlfriend, who had been in a cold war for a long time, turned into a terrifying zombie that he discovered that all of Japan had been occupied by a zombie virus called ZQN. The originally orderly city suddenly became a hunting ground for zombies. When he was in a panic, he took a taxi with the high school girl Hayakari Hirumi (Arimura Kasumi) and escaped from the city after going through many hardships. According to the information received on the mobile phone, they headed towards Mount Fuji, where ZQN was not suitable for survival, and met the survivors of the nurse Yabu (Nagasawa Masami) on the way.
