The Republic system collapsed, and the shadow of the Galactic Empire shrouded every corner of the cosmic civilization. In order to strengthen the suppression of the resistance forces, Tarkinism directly gave birth to a super weapon capable of destroying the planet-the birth of the Death Star, and the physicist Galen Erso (Mads Mikkelsen) was the main designer of the Death Star. Erso's daughter Jyn (Felicity Jones) experienced life and death with her parents in childhood, and then she was raised by the leader of the resistance organization, Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker). As an adult, Jyn committed many crimes and became a prisoner of the Empire, but was eventually rescued by the resistance organization.
