Plot:
When the Jewish youth Guido (Roberto Benigni) meets the beautiful female teacher Dora (Nicoletta Braschi), he bows to Dora politely: "Good morning! Princess!" After many ridiculous twists and turns, the two live happily together. However, the good times did not last long. Under the fascist regime, Guido and his son were forcibly sent to the Jewish concentration camp. Although Dora had no Jewish ancestry, she resolutely went with him and was imprisoned in a concentration camp separately from her husband and son. The clever and optimistic Guido deceived his son that this was just a game, and the prize was a big tank. His son lived happily and innocently in the shadow of the Nazis. Although life in the concentration camp was hard and lonely, Guido still brought a lot of happiness to others. He also took the opportunity to greet his wife on the Nazi radio: "Good morning! Princess!" The fascist regime was about to fall, and the Nazi concentration camps would soon undergo the final cleanup. How should the game Guido made up for his son end? Can their family survive this dark era safely?
