Ben (Sean Biggerstaff), an art college student, couldn't sleep every night after being dumped by his girlfriend Suzie. After two weeks of sleepless nights, Ben decided to work the night shift at the supermarket to kill the extra 8 hours. While working the night shift at the supermarket, Ben met all kinds of people, including his colleagues Barry and Matt who liked to play pranks, Brian who was super obsessed with Chinese Kung Fu, and cashier Sharon (Emilia Fox). Here, Ben discovered that he had the ability to stop time. He stopped time again and again during the night shift and used his brush to depict various women. Unconsciously, Ben found that he fell in love with Sharon and no longer suffered from insomnia. Just when Ben was about to launch a love offensive, misunderstandings followed one after another, and Ben began to suffer from insomnia again.
