In the dense primeval forest, lives the human child Mowgli (Neel Sethi). For some reason, he became an orphan at a very young age. The black panther Bagheera (voiced by Ben Kingsley) first found him and entrusted Mowgli to Akela, the leader of the wolf clan. From then on, Mowgli grew up in the forest as a wolf, learning hunting and survival skills with his brothers and sisters. However, not all animals accept Mowgli's existence, especially the tiger Shere Khan (voiced by Idris Elba), who had been hurt by humans, and regarded the boy as a thorn in the flesh. Shere Khan threatened the wolf clan, and the wolves had to consider the fate of the clan. Mowgli did not want his "family" to be embarrassed, so he chose to leave the wolf pack, and Bagheera, the only one who accompanied him, hoped to take the boy back to the human world. Even so, Shere Khan would never give up, and he launched an endless hunt for the boy...
