In a southern city, the captain of the serious crime team, Captain Liu (played by Liao Fan), offers a large reward for the escaped criminal Zhou Zenong (played by Hu Ge). The swimming companion Liu Aiai (played by Gui Lunmei), Zhou Zenong's former friend Huahua (played by Qi Dao), and his wife Yang Shujun (played by Wan Qian) who he hasn't seen for five years, all kinds of people, with their own thoughts, are successively drawn into this vortex of crime and punishment. Adventure and love, humanity and redemption, how will this special "gathering" end? Good and evil are just a thought away. Chinese director Diao Yinan won the Golden Bear Award for Best Film at the 64th Berlin International Film Festival with his previous work "Black Coal, Thin Ice", and was shortlisted for the main competition unit of the 72nd Cannes International Film Festival with this film.
