The show was created by Alan Ball, the producer of True Blood. The story takes place in the town of Banshee, Pennsylvania. Lucas (Antony Starr), a fraud master and flying thief who had been in prison, got the identity of Banshee Sheriff and replaced him as the local law enforcer. Brock (Matt Servitto), the longest-serving police officer in the town, had the hope of becoming the sheriff, but the arrival of Lucas threatened his position. Lucas discovered that his former lover Carrie (Ivana Milicevic) changed her name and lived in the town and married the local prosecutor. On the one hand, Lucas continued to commit crimes secretly with his new legal identity. On the other hand, Mr. Rabbit (Ben Cross), a cold-blooded Ukrainian gang member of the mob, has been tracking the whereabouts of Lucas and Carrie for 15 years. But everything became different after Lucas entered the town of Banshee...
