Plot:
Ah Xing (Stephen Chow) returns from studying at the God of Gamblers. It happens that Da Jun, unwilling to accept defeat, gathers the five masters of Zhongnanhai for revenge. Although Long Wu (played by Xiang Huaqiang) helps, Ah Xing and Third Uncle (played by Ng Man-tat) are still sent to Shanghai in 1937 by Da Jun and others... After Ah Xing and Third Uncle are separated, he accidentally kills the murderer who murdered Xu Wenqiang, and is able to meet Ding Li (played by Ray Lui). Since then, he and his grandfather Zhou Dafu (played by Ng Man-tat) stay with Ding Li. Ding Li's girlfriend Ruxian (played by Gong Li) makes Ah Xing obsessed, but he doesn't know that she is the twin sister of the girl he likes, Rumeng (played by Gong Li). Kawashima Yoshiko wants to control Shanghai, so she recruits Da Jun and others to frequently attack Ding Li, and agrees to decide the outcome by gambling. Ah Xing escapes from the hands of the Japanese and finally catches up with the gambling. The key to this gambling game is a mysterious figure named "Fighting Tigers Tonight"...
