Adapted from Jin Yong's martial arts novel The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber. Zhang Cuishan (played by Liu Songren), one of the Five Heroes of Wudang Sect, and Yin Susu (played by Michelle Yim), the daughter of the leader of the Sky Eagle Sect, met and fell in love because of fighting for the Dragon Slaying Saber. Their union was opposed by the righteous people in the martial arts world. In order to get the whereabouts of Zhang Cuishan's brother, the Golden Lion King Xie Xun (played by Luo Yingjun) and the Dragon Slaying Saber, the martial arts sects forced Zhang Cuishan to death. Yin Susu also committed suicide for love, leaving her son Zhang Wuji to be entrusted to Wudang. Zhang Wuji (played by Wu Qihua), who grew up, mastered the long-lost Nine Yang Magic Skill by chance, and met Zhou Zhiruo (played by Charmaine Sheh), a junior sister of the Emei Sect, and the two gradually fell in love. Zhang Wuji relied on his talent and luck to become the leader of the Ming Cult and led the followers to fight against the Yuan Dynasty. He also had a considerate maid Xiao Zhao (played by Jiang Xiwen) by his side, but he didn't know that Xiao Zhao's identity was hidden. At the same time, he met Zhao Min (played by Gigi Lai), the princess of the Yuan Dynasty. The hesitant Zhang Wuji wavered between Zhou Zhiruo and Zhao Min. Zhou Zhiruo, who was taught the position of the leader by her master Miejue (played by Kara Hui), changed her temperament after learning the secret of the Heavenly Sword. How should Zhang Wuji choose? The whole play not only depicts the triangle relationship between Zhang Wuji, Zhou Zhiruo and Zhao Min, but also interspersed with the touching love between Yang Xiao (played by Zhang Zhaohui) and Ji Xiaofu (played by Teng Limin), and Yang Buhui and Yin Liting (played by Mo Jiayao), becoming another martial arts classic of TVB.
