The play runs from the publication of Youth Magazine in 1915 to the establishment of New Youth as the official publication of the Communist Party of China in 1921, showing the magnificent historical picture scroll from the New Culture Movement to the establishment of the Communist Party of China, and telling the various life situations in the awakening era. The play takes the legendary story of Li Dazhao, Chen Duxiu and Hu Shi from meeting, knowing each other to breaking up, and embarking on different life paths as the basic narrative line, and takes the rough experience of revolutionary youths such as Mao Zedong, Chen Yannian, Chen Qiaonian, Deng Zhongxia and Zhao Shiyan in pursuing truth as the auxiliary line, artistically reproducing a period of passionate and idealistic years performed by a group of cultural masters who are famous in China and a group of passionate young people with flying ideals.
