The story takes place 18 months after the Battle of Metropolis, in which many buildings and citizens were tragically affected. Superman (Henry Cavill) is worshipped as a god because he helps humans solve many problems, but he is also arrested and interrogated for the damage caused to the city by the battle with Zod.
