The drama is adapted from Mobao Feibao's novel "Honey Stewed Squid". It tells the story of a soft and cute academic master Tong Nian (played by Yang Zi) who falls in love at first sight with a passionate young man Han Shangyan (played by Li Xian) and sweetly pursues him.
