Lu Jie, an Australian Chinese, is a wild-eyed teenager. His adoptive father Jason is a bad-tempered alcoholic who never allows Lu Jie to touch a car without explaining why. One day, in order to help his friend Zhou Yangyang, Lu Jie accidentally gets into trouble with a local motorcycle gang and is forced to participate in an underground car race, where he shines.
