A hot, dry summer day, like the last few years. The forest fires are out of control. Four young people meet in a holiday home on the Baltic Sea, not far from Ahrenshoop. Slowly, imperceptibly, they are surrounded by a wall of fire. The red sky hangs over them. They are full of doubts, they are full of fears - but not because of the fire. It is love that scares them: "Who dies in love...!" They are getting closer, they are eager, they are in love. But the flames are getting closer.
