An eight-year-old American boy (Landon Gimenez) woke up alone in a rice field in a remote rural area of China. No one knew his identity or how he got there. The boy who called himself Jacob recalled that he was an American living in Arcadia, Missouri. Agent Martin Bellamy (Omar Epps) of the U.S. Immigration, Naturalization and Customs Enforcement brought Jacob back to the United States and sent him to Arcadia to verify his identity. Martin did not believe the so-called "mysterious return", he suspected that illegal child trafficking was the truth.
