Plot:
In 1945, the War of Liberation broke out, and wars were raging across China. At this time, Dalian received assistance from the Soviet Union and maintained superficial peace. But under the peaceful situation, there were undercurrents. The Kuomintang reactionaries were ready to sabotage the contact between our party and the Soviet Red Army. Against this background, Gao Daxia (played by Tong Liya), a female hero who was hunted by the enemy for participating in the "Anti-Japanese Arson Group", was assigned by the organization to return to Dalian to perform tasks, and unexpectedly met the CCP cadre Fu Jiazhuang (played by Chen Hao). With very different temperaments, they gradually became reliable comrades-in-arms in crises and developed feelings. In the contest with the Kuomintang, they won the "Battle of Seizing the City". Gao Daxia was repeatedly wronged, but she still firmly believed and did not forget her original intention. She was bold and careful, saw through the enemy's conspiracy, and led the broad masses of people to complete the "moving movement" from "thatched huts to heaven". Gao Daxia and Fujiazhuang and other revolutionary fighters worked together with firm communist beliefs, and finally completely eradicated the remnants of the Kuomintang. After experiencing many dangerous hardships, Gao Daxia and Fujiazhuang finally got married and reaped the fruits of love.
