The story takes place in the early 20th century, during the turbulent times of warlord separatism after the fall of the Qing Dynasty. A young sergeant named Dicky (Zhang Weijian) was promoted seven levels to become a brigade commander for saving the Grand Marshal Meng Datong. From then on, he was in charge of Shengwei Town.
