Plot:
CBS, which is weak in new comedy, has turned its attention to Sheldon from "The Big Bang Theory". Earlier, they announced the development of a spin-off prequel to "The Big Bang Theory". Now CBS has confirmed the spin-off named "Young Sheldon", which, as the name suggests, is based on Sheldon Cooper. The show is scheduled to be broadcast in 2017-2018. In the past plots, we know that Sheldon's family includes his brother George, his fraternal twin sister Missy, his religious mother Mary Cooper, and his alcoholic father George Cooper. Sheldon also has a grandmother (Meemaw) and a grandfather (PopPop), who died when Sheldon was 5 years old. The show is directed by Jon Favreau, and Iain Armitage will play the young version of Sheldon Cooper, Zoe Perry will play his mother Mary Cooper, Lance Barber will play Sheldon's father, Raegan Revord and Montana Jordan will play Sheldon's siblings (sister?), and Annie Potts will play the grandmother.
