The development of the story not only reveals the process and methods of committing various common financial crimes such as insider trading, manipulating stock prices and providing inappropriate investment advice, but also dismantles the inside story of the SFC's investigation and its important role in regulating the market! Tracking the life stories behind the investigators, criminals and victims, the plot will also bring out the human stories of different classes in the financial market! The SFC has launched a TV series for the first time. Through the characters and plots of the story, the public can understand more clearly that the key to bringing market violators to justice lies in an effective law enforcement system. The SFC and RTHK jointly produced a TV series called "The Evidence Search Line" which will be broadcast on TVB Jade Channel in prime time on May 1. The six-part series will describe how SFC investigators uncovered highly sophisticated criminal schemes and prevented offenders from profiting in the market by illegal means. Speaking at the TV series launch ceremony today, SFC Chairman Fang Zheng said that the SFC has been using various channels to deepen the public's understanding of the SFC's regulatory work. Although the characters and plots in the series are purely fictional, the story content can truly reflect how market misconduct harms the interests of innocent investors. Fang Zheng said that the orderly operation of the securities and futures markets is crucial to Hong Kong's continued development as a world-class financial center. The SFC hopes that through this TV series, the public will have a better understanding of the important role the SFC plays in maintaining fair market operations.
