Plot:
Matt (George Clooney), a successful lawyer, has a wife who has become a vegetable due to an accident. Recently, the doctor told him that his wife's death was approaching, which hit him hard. At the same time, as the heir to a certain island in Hawaii, he was still discussing development matters with the trust fund. In the midst of the chaos, Matt's two daughters also made him worry: the little girl Scottie (Amara Miller) often swore at her classmates, and Matt had to take her to apologize in person; the eldest daughter Alexandra (Shailene Woodley) lived in a boarding school and drank all day. Her mother was seriously ill. Matt hoped that Alexandra would abandon her hostility towards her mother, but her daughter revealed the reason for the mother-daughter split - she discovered that her mother had cheated. This completely overturned Matt's impression of his wife. He ran to his wife's bestie to verify, and the answer was exactly the same. Matt, who had been kept in the dark, was disappointed and angry, and began to follow the clues with his daughter to find the third party... This film won the 84th Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
