In UC (Universe Century) 0079, humans have developed into space and built many huge satellites, allowing humans to live in space. The residents of the satellites could not stand the exploitation and oppression of the Earth Federation Government, so they declared independence and formed an army to fight the Earth Federation Government. In the war, both sides developed mobile suits and put them into the battlefield. NEWTYPE boy Amuro Ray accidentally drove the newly developed mobile suit Gundam of the Federation Army and was involved in what was later called the "One Year War", and met his old enemy Char Aznable.
