As the panda Po (voiced by Jack Black) prepares to become a true dragon warrior, his biological father, the panda Li Shan (voiced by Bryan Cranston), suddenly visits. At the same time, the villain Tiansha (voiced by J.K. Simmons) with mysterious powers appears, trying to subdue all the masters and rule the martial arts world. According to legend, there is a power to fight against the sky-killing demons in the isolated panda village. In order to save the people, Po and his father embarked on a journey home, while Po's good friends Tigress (voiced by Angelina Jolie), Monkey (voiced by Jackie Chan), Snake (voiced by Lucy Liu) and Mantis (voiced by Seth Rogen) worked together to delay the sky-killing demons. Po not only shoulders the mission of becoming a real panda warrior, but also lets new partners such as the villager Meimei (voiced by Kate Hudson) practice new kung fu, inherit the will of Master Turtle (voiced by Randall Duk Kim), and jointly resist the sky-killing demons.
