Hulu's horror anthology series "Monsterland" is adapted from Nathan Ballingrud's short story collection "North American Lake Monsters: Stories". The characters in the series include some fantasy creatures, such as fallen angels, werewolves, etc. They take some actions desperately in order to turn their lives around, thus expressing that the difference between humans and "them" is actually not that big.
