The manga was created by Masayuki Kusumi and illustrated by Jiro Taniguchi. It was serialized in Fusosha's "Monthly PANJA" magazine from 1994 to 1996. It tells the story of Goro Inogashira, a man who runs an imported grocery store, and goes to restaurants to eat during his work breaks. All the restaurants that appear in the work are real. One of the important features is that they are basically popular restaurants. However, the work does not simply describe food culture, but focuses on the scenes and psychological descriptions of the protagonist's meals.
