Soma Yukihira (voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka) was born into a family of culinary artists. His father runs a family restaurant. At a young age, Yukihira takes his father as an example and vows to become a chef like his father. One day, his father found Yukihira and hoped that he could enter the top culinary school "Totsuki Gakuen" for further study and training. Carrying his father's expectations, Yukihira embarked on a journey. At school, Yukihira met a girl named Erina Nakiri (voiced by Risa Taneda). This tsundere girl who is said to have the "God's Tongue" actually judged Yukihira's dishes as "unqualified". Isshiki Hui (voiced by Takahiro Sakurai), who is enthusiastic and cheerful on the outside and extremely scheming on the inside, Marui Zenji (voiced by Yusuke Kobayashi), who has a weak body and a strong mind, and the lively and cheerful Yoshino Yuki (voiced by Maaya Uchida), communicate and compete with these "peers". Yukihira still has a long way to go.
