Plot:
Daji Lao (played by Andy Lau) met Li Fengyi (played by Cecilia Cheung), a policewoman who came to crack down on prostitution, while dancing striptease. At the same time, the serious crime team was also investigating an Indian murder case nearby. When Daji Lao was escaping, he unexpectedly met the fleeing Indian fugitive. In the end, the fugitive escaped, and Daji Lao was taken back to the police station as a suspect. In fact, Daji Lao used to be a monk in the mainland. Because of the tragic death of his friend Xiao Cui, he was too sad and accidentally killed a bird under a tree. He sat in meditation in front of the bird for 7 days and 7 nights and thus gained the ability to see cause and effect-when you see the result, you can see the cause. He saw that Xiao Cui's death was cause and effect, and he killed the bird as cause and effect. Because he couldn't accept all this calmly, he returned to secular life. This time, he saw Li Fengyi and saw the Japanese army killing people, and he knew that her sins were too heavy and she would encounter misfortune. In order to help this kind-hearted policewoman, he began to help her secretly, helping her solve strange cases repeatedly, saving her from danger, hoping to help her wash away her sins...
