Plot:
The film is set in Persia in the 11th century. In order to learn medicine to cover up his Catholic body, an Englishman joins a medical school in Ispahan that only accepts Jews. His teacher is Avicenna, a famous Jewish scientist, thinker and doctor in history. Avicenna has written more than 200 works, the most famous of which is "The Encyclopedia of Philosophy and Science", which was a high-level encyclopedia at the time; another masterpiece is "Canon of Medicine", which was regarded as a medical classic in Western countries until the 17th century and is still of reference value today. "The Miracle Doctor" combines epic and fiction, showing the fearless spirit of a group of people in exploring the truth in that century dominated by ignorance and superstition.
