Maddie is a bullied girl who gets help from a mysterious person online one day, and she soon discovers that the person is actually her recently deceased father, David. David participated in an experiment and his brain was damaged, but in fact his brain was scanned and uploaded to the cloud, making him the first example of a new species, "Uploaded Intelligence", but his existence is about to trigger a new world war.
