This is Netflix's first Brazilian original series. The first season is directed by Oscar nominee Cesar Charlone and stars João Miguel and Bianca Comparato. The story describes that people have only one chance in their lifetime to get a better life and status, but everyone must go through a cruel (and unfair) selection process-only three percent of the candidates will eventually succeed. These lucky ones are superior in the social class, while others will face a terrible life without electricity, water, and food.
