The series uses the "six degrees of separation" theory to connect three different love stories: Xiang Yan (played by He Landou) and Lin Hengyu (played by Cao Yuchen) are "destined", Lin Hengyu is a bachelor, but he is willing to walk into the wedding hall because of Xiang Yan; Tan Shishi (played by Liang Songqing) and Shi Ran (played by Wu Hai) are "inevitable", they are six years apart, and Shi Ran's goal is to stand side by side with Tan Shishi one day; Lu Nian (played by Jin Yangyang) and Jiang Qi (played by Wang Haoge) are "love at first sight", they are both good at disguise, and Jiang Qi approaches cautiously just to give Lu Nian an absolute sense of security.
