Oscar Isaac plays Moon Knight/Mark Spector, who has dissociative identity disorder and multiple personalities, and is caught in a deadly battle among the Egyptian gods. Mark Spector is a retired U.S. Marine who becomes a mercenary and dies in the Egyptian desert. Khonsu, the Egyptian moon god, resurrects him and gives him power. Spector suffers from mental illness, and his different identities have different personalities. One of the personalities is Steven Grant, a gentle and elegant gift shop clerk who has long suffered from sleep disorders and can't even distinguish between dreams and reality.
