Plot:
Cheng Jiaying (played by Cai Sibei), who graduated from the Department of Chinese Medicine, has performed well since her practice. She is the doctor with the most patients every month and can maximize the efficiency of limited resources. Ying was promoted to a senior Chinese medicine physician to manage the clinic and also began to participate in the training of junior Chinese medicine physicians. Among the newly recruited junior Chinese medicine physicians, there is her childhood sweetheart, Chinese medicine classmate and ex-boyfriend Gu Qingjin (played by He Guangpui). Many years ago, the two broke up because of personality and value issues. Now they meet again as superiors and subordinates, and there are constant contradictions and conflicts. However, the two have a compassionate heart as doctors and always put the interests of patients first. When Jing went to the hospital for Chinese and Western medicine collaborative treatment, he was treated unfairly, and eventually Ying and a group of junior Chinese medicine practitioners left the government clinic. Everyone worked together to open a private Chinese medicine clinic, facing different patients and difficult and complicated diseases. In addition to improving their medical skills, they also had different experiences of life. Ying and Jing rekindled their old relationship, but due to practical problems, different business policies and concepts, they often clashed. In the end, Jing withdrew from the clinic and became a nomadic doctor. The two continued their own medical concepts on their own paths until Ying was diagnosed with lupus erythematosus. Jing participated in Ying's Chinese and Western combined treatment. Under the life-and-death crisis, the two realized that ideals and reality are the topics that everyone must learn throughout their lives.
