Hilary Swank and Michael Shannon have joined the new film What They Had, which will be written and directed by Elizabeth Chomko, and stars Robert Forster, Blythe Danner and Taissa Farmiga. The story follows Hilary's character as she returns home to take care of her mother, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease. Due to an accident on Christmas Eve, her mother's condition continues to worsen.
