Buck Ferguson (Josh Brolin) is a famous whitetail deer hunter. He arranges a special episode of his hunting show to take his increasingly estranged son Jaden (Montana Jordan) on a weekend trip to bond with his father and son. Along the way, Buck also has his trusted but down-on-his-luck photographer friend Don (Danny McBride). Buck has everything ready, but he doesn't know that this trip to reconnect with his son in the wilderness will be far more exciting than he imagined.
