The play tells the story of Zhang Weiguo (Huang Lei), a contented prop master of the Peking Opera Troupe who has been performing Peking Opera for most of his life. Although he lives a very ordinary life, he firmly believes that he is a "descendant of the royal family." At a gathering of fellow troupe members, a group of frustrated middle-aged men began to exaggerate their self-packaging and compare with each other. Zhang Weiguo, who returned to life with this packaging, thought he had become rich, but fell into debt overnight. After a series of ups and downs, he finally took off his disguise and faced his true self.
