Plot:
Bombay, 1948. Saadat Hasan Manto, a controversial and well-known writer, caused public outrage by publishing a number of critical works. After the partition of India and Pakistan, he had to leave his beloved city of Bombay and go to Lahore, Pakistan. His belief in freedom of speech and his concern for the marginalized made his exile a tragedy, and made him put all his energy into writing.
