Plot:
In the early 1980s in Japan, the vigorous young people were flamboyant and unscrupulously showed their understanding of art and beauty. In this turbulent trend, the young man Yanran (played by Yuya Yagira) who aspired to be a cartoonist was admitted to the film and television planning department of Osaka University of Arts. He was full of confidence and arrogant, but his confidence soon suffered a setback. It turned out that there were monster-level figures such as Anno Hideaki (played by Akira Yasuda), Yamaga Hiroyuki (played by Muro Tsuyoshi), and Akai Takami (played by Nakamura Tomoya) in the same period who would occupy an important position in the animation industry in the future. Compared with them, Yanran's pitiful talent is really not worth mentioning. Fortunately, with the encouragement of the beautiful senior sister Morinaga Atsuko (played by Mizuki Yamamoto), and the influence of the predecessors in the comics industry such as Adachi Mitsuru, Takahashi Rumiko, Matsumoto Leiji, and Ishinomori Shotaro, Yanran began to stumble towards his dream... This film is adapted from the comic of the same name created by Shimamoto Kazuhiko based on his own experience.
