In this turbulent trend, the young man Yanran (played by Yuya Yagira) who aspired to be a cartoonist was admitted to the film and television planning department of Osaka University of Arts. He was full of confidence and arrogant, but his confidence soon suffered a setback. It turned out that there were monster-level figures such as Anno Hideaki (played by Akira Yasuda), Yamaga Hiroyuki (played by Muro Tsuyoshi), and Akai Takami (played by Nakamura Tomoya) in the same period who would occupy an important position in the animation industry in the future.
