Plot:
The serialized novel "Blunt Beast" in Weekly Daiya was well received and won a literary award. However, just before the award ceremony, the editorial department learned that the author of the novel, Touji Tsuchikawa, had been missing for a long time. The editor-in-chief Shizuka (played by Yoko Maki) was ordered to investigate Tsuchikawa's whereabouts. Based on the clues in the writer's apartment, she came all the way to Tsuchikawa's hometown, Tokiba, the "sumo city". At a local gigolo nightclub called SuperHeavy, Shizuka met four people with abnormal nerves: mama-san Junko (played by Yoko Minamino), police officer Okamoto (played by Yusuke Nakayama), Kawaii waitress Nora (played by Aimi Satsukawa) and gigolo Eda (played by Ikki Kitamura). Through their words and deeds, Shizuka concluded that these people knew the whereabouts of the writer. Under her questioning, Eda and others finally told what happened in the past year. One day a year ago, their childhood playmate Kotsugu (played by Tadanobu Asano) suddenly appeared, and at the same time, "Blunt Beast" continued to be serialized, revealing the secrets that Eda and Okamoto had hidden for many years.
