PBS has announced the renewal of Sanditon for Season 2 and Season 3. Justin Young (Mystery in Paradise Island) serves as the chief writer and executive producer, and Charles Stritch (Brideshead Revisited) serves as the chief director. The series is adapted from the unfinished novel of the same name written by Jane Austen, starring Rose Williams and Theo James. It tells the story of a young country girl Charlotte who meets a humorous and energetic man Sidney, who tries to turn this sleepy little village into a resort. Whether the villagers can make a fortune depends on whether this development plan can succeed.
